This is a conceptual project about two connected exhibitions by Gian Maria Tosatti for a publishing design exam. The exhibitions take place in Milan and immerse the viewer in spaces of absence and decay to confront the fragility of memory, belief, and the remains of collapsed civilizations. Es Brent! takes place in a minimal gallery and features powerful paintings while Paradiso is an experiental installation resembling a depleted paradise.

BOOK COVER REDESIGNS

I was tasked to redesign the book covers of four classics, with all of them having a rather sinister theme. Using typography as the main tool for conveying the idea of the book, the challenge was to translate the themes of the book into expressive typography in a way that hasn’t been done before.

In the physical portfolio, I presented the book covers as smaller pages, with the context and approach written around them in a clever, adapted layout on the main pages.
