The objective for this project was to design and propose A3 format posters for the *Family Ties* exhibition by Tina Barney which features photographs of American bourgeois families, their relations, and their rituals. This is the main topic of her work over the years. The poster needs to be typography-based and reflect the themes and style of her photography on top of being an informative piece that contains the necessary details about the exhibition.

Simultaneously, this creates a verticality that symbolizes formality and high class. The layout of typography fills up the remaining space in a logical, but dispersed hierarchy, somewhat complementing the already strange vibe that is present in the photography.

The first proposal uses negative space to emphasize the theme of distance within "family ties". There are three islands of information that are spaced in an ordered manner like the staged, and elegant subjects. The typography communicates wealth and formality.
